Fall in love with Brisbane’s buzzing urban skyline from this vantage point early in the evening as the sun gradually descends through the sky! Join a group of fellow climbers and get ready for your 2-hour adventure. Listen as your guides brief you on how to wear the necessary safety equipment. When you’re ready, depart the base and climb up a spiral staircase that leads to the start of the suspended walkway directly beneath the Bradfield Highway (Australia’s shortest highway). This will connect you to the climbing line to the base of the southern pylon. Continue up through the inner Eastern bridge arm, past one of Brisbane’s busiest commute points, and then head straight up the south-eastern cantilever arm.

As the sun slowly sets, enjoy the scenery and the entertaining commentary from your friendly climb masters. Learn about the history of the bridge as well as that of the city of Brisbane. A little further along, you’ll get to see the bridge from a different angle. Walk about halfway across the river below, before making your way back to the top platform for a group photo. Slowly, descend back to the climb base camp. The twilight climb option is perfect if you do not want to wake up early in the morning, but still want the convenience of daylight.

Important Information

The climb experience lasts approximately 2 hours. This includes your briefing, safety demonstration, and the climbing route
Personal items will not be permitted on the bridge adventure climb, although lockers are provided
It is mandatory to wear fully enclosed rubber-soled footwear
All climbers must be at least 6 years of age with a minimum height of 110cm
Children aged between 6-16 years must be accompanied by an adult or guardian whilst climbing
At least one adult must accompany a child aged 6 to 10 years, whereas an adult can take responsibility for up to 3 children aged 10-16yrs
Children aged 5 years and under will be unable to participate
Every climber will be breathalyzed and must register under 0.05
The maximum weight limit is 130kgs
Climbs operate in most weather conditions, even rain
As climbers will not be permitted to take cameras (including video cameras) onto the climb, there are 3 photo opportunities that your climb leader will take photos from. Photos will be available to purchase from the photo-shop after your climb experience
