Spend five magical hours in the heart of Lapland, where festive traditions and Arctic adventures come together. This small-group tour blends a visit to Santa Claus Village with husky and reindeer rides, making it perfect for families and travelers wanting a taste of Lapland’s highlights in half a day.
Getting started
Your experience begins with a comfortable transfer from your accommodation within 12 km of Rovaniemi, or you can meet your guide directly at the centrally located City Office. On arrival, you’ll be greeted with Fazer chocolate before setting off on your adventure in the company of your English-speaking guide.
Santa Claus Village
Step into Santa Claus Village, where festive magic is alive all year round. Here you’ll meet Santa Claus himself and commemorate the moment with your official Arctic Circle Certificate, a keepsake to treasure long after your trip. You’ll also have some free time to explore the shops and atmosphere.
Reindeer ride and encounter
Travel to a local reindeer farm, where you’ll enjoy a short 400 m sleigh ride through snowy trails. Feed the reindeer, take photos, and learn more about the deep connection between the animals and traditional Lappish culture.
Husky sleigh ride
Continue to a husky farm, where the dogs’ excitement is contagious. After a short introduction, climb aboard for a 500 m husky-pulled sleigh ride, a highlight for both adults and children. You’ll also get the chance to spend time with the huskies and hear about their training and care.
Small-group experience
With a maximum of eight guests per group, this tour is designed to feel relaxed and personal. Transfers, taxes, and service fees are included, so all you need to do is enjoy the experience.
What to bring
-
Dress warmly in base layers such as thermals, fleece, or wool, and wear thick socks, gloves, and a hat. Winter overalls, boots, and gloves are provided, but layering ensures extra comfort.
-
Bring your camera or phone to capture Santa, the huskies, and the reindeer. Cold weather drains batteries quickly, so a power bank or cold-resistant case is recommended.
What’s not allowed

Alcohol or arriving under the influence is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
-
Large bags and bulky luggage cannot be brought along due to limited space in transfers and during activities.
-
Smoking is not permitted inside vehicles, during activities, or near the animals.
Accessibility
-
This tour is not wheelchair accessible, as it involves walking on snowy terrain, boarding sleighs, and riding in sleds.
-
