Getting started
Begin at the Franz Josef township meeting point for a safety briefing and a test run to get comfortable with the controls. Then choose your ride—ride solo on a single quad, share a double quad bike, or bring others along in a 2‑ or 3‑seater adventure buggy. All riders are kitted out with protective gear.
What to expect

Guided off‑road journey: Follow your expert guide through ancient glacial riverbeds and lush Jurassic rainforest terrain, with dramatic views of the Southern Alps and Franz Josef Glacier in the distance.

Included gear: You’re supplied with waterproof jackets, pants, gumboots, helmets, gloves and other protective equipment so you stay safe and comfortable.

What to bring
- Bring along your warm upper-body clothing (preferably 3-4 layers), leggings or light trousers, and sunglasses.
What's not allowed

Guests below 110cm are restricted from riding the buggy whereas guests below 145cm are restricted from riding the double quad bike on this experience.

The combined weight of two passengers on the double quad bike must not exceed 220 kg.
