Warsaw's Old Town

Take in the lively atmosphere of the Old Town Market Place. It is the oldest and the center part of Old Town. The Square is lined with buildings from the 1600s and 1700s and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Look at the famous bronze mermaid statue in the center of the square. It is an important symbol of Warsaw and thus appears on the coat of arms and in many other pieces of architecture throughout the city.
