This wonderful tour will take you through the original film locations of the “Sound of Music” movie. Your 4-hour tour will cover famous locations around the historical city of Salzburg, in addition to the breathtaking mountains of Salzkammergut.
In the city, you get to see the Mirabell Gardens where Do-Re-Mi was shot, the famous Gazebo where Rolf and Liesl sang ‘Sixteen Going on Seventeen', the Church of Mondsee which was the location of the wedding and much more.
As you get to the mountainous landscape of Salzkammergut, you will see the famous Benedictine monastery of Nonnberg Abbey where the real Maria and Baron got married. You even get to admire the famous Palace of Leopoldskron and the village of St. Gilgen which is located directly opposite the Schafberg mountain.
Apart from offering a glimpse into a timeless movie, this tour allows you a peek into the history and culture of Salzburg. Most importantly, you get to see the city come alive as you listen to the original movie Soundtrack on the tour.
