The Story
Orpheus, son of the Greek God, Apollo, is in love with Eurydice. He goes on to marry her, and they live a happy and satisfied life. One day, Eurydice is bitten by a snake and dies instantly. Distraught and grief-stricken, Orpheus prays to the gods to give him a chance to be reunited with the love of his life.
The gods take pity on Orpheus, and allow him to venture into the underworld, where he can rescue Eurydice. There is, however, a catch. Orpheus must not look at Eurydice as he leads her out of the underworld and brings her back to life. If he so much as glances at her, then Eurydice will be gone for good.
Can Orpheus finally reunite with the woman he loves? Does he have the required perseverance to lead his wife to her revival?
