Located on the remote north coast of Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark is characterized by its quirky geological formations that resemble various objects. Although Yehliu is just over two hours from Taiwan, it’s like stepping into a whole new world. The eroding seascape, stony shorelines, and the picturesque cape is all too reinvigorating. It is the constant drumming of the ocean against the shores, erosion from the wind and exposure to the atmosphere that resulted in the land being carved into a series of rocky formations. The most famous of these at Yehliu is the Queen's Head, but there are many others, such as the Fairy's Shoe, Ice-cream Cone, and the Sea Candles. The entire park is walkable within 2 hours so you can definitely fit in other activities throughout the day. Despite its remote location, the park is well-equipped from free Wi-Fi to bicycle stations, locker rooms and more.

Getting There
By Bus
-
Kuo-Kuang Bus (#1815): Take the express bus (bound for Jinshan Youth Activity Center) at East Gate 3 of Taipei Main Station, then get off at Yehliu stop, the bus arrives every 20 minutes

Keelung Bus (#1068): Take the express bus (bound to Jinshan) at National Taiwan University, then alight at Yehliu stop, the bus arrives every 15 minutes

Keelung Bus (#862): Take the express bus (bound to Jinshan) at Tamshui station (near Tamshui MRT Station), then get down at Yehliu stop, the bus arrives every 30 minutes

Keelung Bus (#790): Take the express bus (bound for Jinshan or Tamsui) at Keelung station (near Keelung Railway Station), then alight at Yehliu stop, the bus arrives every 10 minutes

After arriving at Yehliu stop, walk to Yehliu Geopark by following the signs
