A Guided Tour of the Tower of London
Your tour begins with an exclusive entrance to the Tower of London. It is here that you will see regimental guards marching from Traitor’s Gate and officially opening the Tower to the public. Follow your guide back out in the courtyard, directly into the Jewel House. Since you’ll be among the first to go in, take your time to see this dazzling collection at your own pace. Your guide will tell you about the deep religious and cultural significance of these jewels in British history.
Continue your tour of the Tower as you head back outside. Pass by the old execution site, where Anne Boleyn and Sir Walter Raleigh were once beheaded. See the Bloody Tower, where Sir Walter spent 13 years of his life, and the Torture Chamber, where enemies of the Crown were tortured with medieval devices.
Peek into the restored bedroom of Edward I and visit the White Tower, which dates back to the 1080s and is today a beautiful museum filled with period armor, clothing, and architecture. Your tour ends here, but you may take some time to visit other parts of the tower if you wish so.
A Relaxing Cruise on River Thames
End your tour with a flexible one-way cruise on River Thames from any pier. Drink in the views as you pass by some of London's famous landmarks such as the magnificent Tower Bridge, built between 1886 and 1894, and the Shakespeare's Globe, a world-renowned theatre, education center, and cultural landmark.
