Καταπληκτική μέρα! Το check-in για το πλοίο και η παραλαβή του ποδηλάτου μόλις φτάσαμε στο νησί ήταν πανεύκολα. Αυτό έκανε τη μέρα πολύ πιο ευχάριστη. Σίγουρα θα συνιστούσα να διανυκτερεύσετε στο νησί, καθώς μία ημέρα δεν αρκεί για να τα δείτε όλα.

Perfectly timed departure of both the ferry/ boat and the island bus tour with the v knowledgeable and delightful Lisa! Give that lady a payrise immediately! Only helpful suggestion would be to tell people where to park all day at the Freemantle docks, just past Dock E, as we panicked a bit when we arrived and everywhere else was 3 hrs. Plus didn't realise needed a printed ticket if booking through a third party operator and had to run over to the Sealink info booth. Otherwise, brilliant service, amazing day with Quokkas!! 🥰 I didn't touch it!! Was just trying show perspective of how tiny it was. Just a lil bub

The tour guide Eli and bus driver Simon were fantastic! Very informative on the island itself and eager to answer questions! My favourite part was when Eli taught everyone about the history of the island and how to be more approachable to the quokkas by sitting down rather than crouching. My family and friends had a great time visiting one of the very very lovely beaches there, the water was so amazingly clear! Which Eli taught us why the water is so clear! I will be visiting more often and am shocked that I have never visited in my entire 25 years living in Perth! Thank you! We also saw SO MANY WHALES!

The sheer beauty of the island, especially the swim we had near the wreck of the shark on the south-eastern side. The hire bicycles, well they were the worst bike ride I have had in my nearly 70 years of life. They were small, unadjustable, cramped and seats were hard. Despite my complaints, they did get us around the island and didn't spoil the experience. Turning on a whale-watching experience during the return journey was the icing on the cake. Would I recommend this trip to family & friends? YES 10/10 Would I consider going again if I come back to Perth? YES.

One of the best things I have done. Easy booking process, the guides were helpful in helping me understand what to do, one point to note is there is a booth at the Fremantle B gate for the tour operator where you get your tickets from the voucher. Bike hire super easy, the route around the whole island is a little hilly, but I got round it all in the day with two hours to spare enough time to get some food

Excellent ferry service and bike ride great. Some outstanding views, particularly Geordie beach, and idyllic bay. Highly recommended.

Your ticket includes round-trip ferry transfers from Fremantle and entry to Rottnest Island. Arrive 30 minutes early to check in, choose your adventure, and get ready for a day of exploration, whether on a self-guided tour with cycling or snorkeling, or a guided bus tour.

What to expect

Meet the quokkas: Explore Thomson Bay and spot the island’s friendly quokkas, perfect for selfies and close-up wildlife experiences.

The Basin’s natural pool: Swim or relax in this iconic natural swimming spot, best visited in the morning when waters are calm and clear.

Historic highlights: See Oliver Hill Battery with its WWII tunnels and train tour, or stroll past Pinky Beach and Bathurst Lighthouse for sunset views.

Snorkel & cycle adventures: Explore the underwater plaques of the Little Salmon Bay Snorkel Trail or cycle along scenic coastal routes. Bike hire includes helmets and locks, making it easy to explore Rottnest at your own pace.

What to bring

Bring along your swimwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, and water bottle.

What's not allowed

Carry-on items are allowed if they fit on your seat without taking extra space. For safety, luggage cannot block aisles, wheelchair spaces, or exits.

Alcohol, weapons, drugs, drones, pets, smoking and furniture are not allowed onboard the ferry.

Rottnest Island is an A-Class reserve. So, it’s best to check directly with the island rangers for the most up-to-date advice on service dog access and allowances.
