So easy to buy tickets on line. Even an Oldie like me could easilly cope. The provision of supporting information was excellent. The Museum itself was breathtaking, from the moment we stepped inside. The architecture was unbelievable and the ornate decoration stunning.. Each of the halls, whether it was art, Czech or world history was so wel thought out and presented and each display drew us toeard the next one. Our visit wil stay with us as part of a memorable visit to the beautiful City of Prague. I have to say that the mueum was also great value for money.

Несомненно посещение Национального Музея Праги, обязательно ,если вам интересна история всего живого мира ,включая человесество . Редкие и великолепные экземпляры захватывают воображение ,вызывая восхищение увиденного. Чего только стоит зал минералов!!!! И ,чтобы ,подольше насладиться залами музея,необходимо приобрести билеты заранее . Очень удобно проходить без очереди в кассу . ...

We loved it! It is a magnificent building, and the layout was absolutely stunning. Every room was designed beautifully and everything was well explained and so much of it was interactive. It was also very nice for us because my father needed a wheelchair and one was available for us and he was able to enjoy it as well. We spent the whole day there. I highly recommend it.

The National Museum is absolutely amazing. Very easy scanned entry, friendly staff members answering all questions , interesting and beautiful displays made our museum day fantastic. Taking the passageway to the new building only added to our complete exciting experience at this fine institution.

Beautiful museum with Czech history, the ancient artifacts, then the evolution of the human, the animals and the prehistoric explanations, with nearly real artifacts andvalso real ones. Probably tbevmost beautiful andvlargest collection of minerals i ever saw in my life, just fantastic.

The museum was amazing I was disappointed with Headout as paid extra for audio and when arrived found out it was free on a web site

The museum itself was breathtaking. However, the waiting time and entry system to get in left a lot to be desired. It made no difference having pre paid tickets. It took an hour in the pouring rain to trudge in. There were no staff to manage expectations and very chaotic. That said, the wait was worth it!

After security, leave any backpacks or luggage larger than 40 × 30 × 20 cm and umbrellas in the cloakroom before moving into the exhibition areas. Your ticket covers the Museum Complex, with access to current and long-term exhibitions across the Historical Building and New Building, except the Czech Press Photo exhibition and Children's Museum.

With the Tickets + English Guided Tour of Old and New Town option, you join a guided tour of Old and New Town in English. A guide leads you through the two districts while sharing context, so your time in the city connects to what you have seen inside the museum.

Both Old and New Town options include the same access inside the Prague National Museum complex as the base ticket, along with non-commercial photography without flash or tripod, and use of the free cloakroom, golf carts, walkers, and wheelchairs.

What to bring

Tickets: Bring your e-tickets printed or stored on your mobile phone for entry.

Disability ID or cards: Carry valid disability or membership cards if you plan to use free admission.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access: The Museum Complex is wheelchair accessible, except for the dome and upper floors of the Children's Museum.

Disabled parking: Disabled parking is in the Historical Building basement, with reservation at least 1 working day in advance.

Mobility aids: You can borrow golf carts, walkers, and wheelchairs for free at the museum.

What's not allowed

Children's Museum access: Your ticket does not include entry to the Children's Museum or Czech Press Photo exhibition.

Pushchairs in Children's Museum: You cannot enter the Children's Museum with a pushchair.

Large items inside: You cannot take backpacks or luggage over 40 × 30 × 20 cm or umbrellas into the exhibitions.

Additional information

Ticket validity: Your e-ticket is valid for 30 days from purchase for a one-time entry.

Building capacity: If the building is full, access is paused and waits are usually 30–45 minutes.

Family facilities: Changing tables are in all restrooms and a Kids' Corner is on the 4th floor of the New Building.

Children's Museum rules: It is intended for children 4+ and under-15s must be accompanied by an adult.

Pushchair entrance: With a pushchair, you must use the entrance to the New Building.
