Your Experience
Your Experience
Start your experience with a bus tour that will stop off at the striking fortress, the Tower of London. While it may be the final stop for many a doomed character from history, it makes for a great photo-op on Christmas Eve! Next, do your best royal wave as you near Buckingham Palace. Admire Queen Elizabeth II’s stunning London residence from outside the front gates, and spot the famous outfits of the Queen’s Guard with their red tunics and bearskin hats! Just in case you don’t get to see the Changing of the Guard (this doesn’t occur every day), you’ll be taken to the Horse Guards Parade, just down the road.
Your bus tour then takes you through some of the most historic streets in central London. Drive past the infamous Pudding Lane, known for the Great Fire in 1666, as well as some of the worst affected areas during the Blitz of WW2. Once you reach St. Paul’s Cathedral, step right in and marvel at the beauty of the church including the tombs and the interiors. Try and look for the vast tombs of Lord Nelson, hero of the Battle of Trafalgar, and the poet John Donne, as well as the architect who built St. Paul, Sir Christopher Wren.
End your Christmas Eve adventure with a scenic river tour on the iconic Thames. Sit back and relax, as you see London from a unique perspective, soaking in the festive atmosphere, before making your way back to land in search of a Christmas tipple!
