Abenteuer in Catania

Insanely windy at the top! Our hats almost flew away lol. The guide lent us extra jackets, which was a life saver. Hike itself was moderate, not as hard as I thought. The views of the crater and the steam vents are something I’ll never forget. There were a LOT of people, tho, so sometimes it felt like a parade.

Woke up crazy early with my girlfriend for this tour and honestly it was SO worth it. Our guide (shout out to Marco!) was suuuper friendly and dropped a ton of facts about Etna that I totally didn’t know. Kinda chilly at the top, so bring extra layers, trust me! The whole group felt like a little volcano family by the end. Hike was tough but views = EPIC.

Did this as part of a girls’ trip and had a blast. The pilot was a riot, and we giggled the whole way. Only negative: the headsets made my hair all frizzy. Pro tip: tie your hair back!

Did this with my wife and teenage daughter—she took about 500 pics. The views over Etna and the coast are insane. Crew was welcoming, and the pilot’s stories made it special. Would fly again in a second.
