I've just returned from a stay in Malta, and I'm still amazed by everything this archipelago has to offer. Between history, beaches, culture and gastronomy, Malta is a complete destination that fulfilled all my expectations! As soon as I arrived in Valletta, I was struck by the city's unique atmosphere. Its baroque architecture, cobbled streets and breathtaking views over the Mediterranean make the capital a veritable open-air museum. Don't miss the Three Cities and Upper Barrakka Gardens for a spectacular view of the Grand Port. I also loved the excursion to Mdina, the ancient capital nicknamed "the city of silence": a magical place, steeped in history, perfect for a quiet stroll. On the seaside, the beaches and coves of Comino (especially the Blue Lagoon) and Gozo are breathtaking. Turquoise waters, swimming, snorkeling... a true paradise! Gozo in particular is worth a visit for its more rural and authentic atmosphere. Maltese cuisine was a pleasant surprise: from pastizzi and rabbit dishes to fresh seafood and local wines, my taste buds were delighted.
