  •  Like any European city, Verona can make quite a dent in your pocket without careful budgeting and planning. Along with incurring costs related to ticket purchases and add-ons such as guided tours, you also need to accommodate transport costs as well. A Verona city pass is an effort by the city authorities to make tourism both convenient and affordable for travelers. A city pass will allow you to visit up to 15 attractions in the city at a fraction of the cost it takes to buy separate tickets for each individual attraction. It also covers transportation between the selected attractions by ATV thus avoiding the need to spend on transport as a separate expense.
  • The Verona Card is a great way to experience all the wonders of the city of the old river town of Verona. Here are five great reasons why you should consider purchasing one:
    • Cost Effective: With the Verona Card, you'll have free admission to 15 of the city's most popular attractions, including the Arena di Verona, Juliet's House, and the Castelvecchio Museum. This can save you a lot of money and time as you won't have to stand in long queues to buy tickets.
    • Transportation: The Verona Card also includes unlimited use of the ATV bus systems to reach your destinations. This makes it easy to get around and see all the sights without having to worry about additional transport costs.
    • Time-saving: With the Verona Card, you can avoid standing in long queues at ticket offices by presenting your card at the entrance, allowing you to spend more time exploring and less time waiting. This can be especially beneficial during peak tourist seasons when the lines can be very long.
    • Priority Entrance and Combos: With the Verona Card, you can choose to have skip-the-line entry to the Arena di Verona, one of Verona's most popular (and crowded) attractions. You may also choose to club the Verona Card with tickets to the Gardaland amusement park and Parco Giardino Sigurtà in amazing combo packages.
    • Discounts on tours and other attractions: Along with free admission to many attractions, the Verona Card also provides discounts on tours, concerts, and other attractions. This can help you save even more money while exploring the city.
  •  As of now, there is only one city pass in Verona called the Verona Card. However, the Verona Card can be purchased as part of combo packages that give you access to all the attractions listed on a Verona Card along with additional sites such as the Gardaland Park and the Parco Giardino Sigurta.

This was a great way to learn about and see some of the highlights of Verona. The buses were timely and clean, and the staff were all very friendly. The 48-hour option was a no-brainer and helped us feel like we didn't have to rush through each of the stops. While overall the experience was great, the tracking app definitely needs some work and was tough to rely on to see when buses were coming your way. If you keep an eye on your watch and generally know when the next bus will be coming, you should be fine.
