Marcel was a great communicator and made sure we understood everything before entering the sites. Just expect some waiting during peak season.

I would have liked a bit more time in Auschwitz I since there’s so much to see. Still, it was a very moving and informative visit.

Transport was smooth and well organized. The driver was friendly and helpful, though the group got split up at one point—but that wasn’t the company’s fault.
    • Travel from Krakow to the small town of Oświęcim to visit the largest Nazi concentration camp complex from World War II. Learn the horrifying story of the more than 1.3 million victims who lost their lives at Auschwitz and Birkenau and pay your respects.

    • The first part of your trip is a 2-hour visit to the Auschwitz I camp to see the permanent exhibition in the former prisoners' barracks. Depending on the time of year, you may visit the Birkenau camp first before visiting the Auschwitz 1 camp.

    • Afterwards, spend between 1.5-2 hours at Auschwitz II Birkenau, the largest of the more than 40 camps and sub-camps that made up the Auschwitz complex. See remnants of the crematories, the unloading ramp, remaining barracks, and the monument dedicated to the last victims of the camp.

    • Self-guided tour of both camps

    • Round-trip transportation from a common meeting point in Krakow in an AC coach

I was nervous at first when realizing it was a tour leader instead of a guide, but Mary did a fantastic job keeping things organized and meaningful.
