Not such a good ticketing experience, redemption point too far away from site and why we had to go there I just don't know! Spoilt the start of the visit. Told we had 2 hours in forum then had to be at Colleseum for 1300 then had as much time as we wanted in there. 2 hours not enough to get all around the forum.

Your Experience

Start off your Roman tour by watching a 25 minutes video that takes you through a brief history of ancient Rome. With your ticket in hand, you can enter the Colosseum and truly envision the grand scale of the arena that staged the infamous gladiator battles, mostly to the death. As you discover the underground dungeons (called the Hypogeum) where gladiators prepared for battle and the trap doors on the floor that pushed out wild animals unexpectedly, you get a hair-raising sense of really being there!

Leaving the bloodthirsty history of the Colosseum behind, you also get to visit the tomb of the distinguished emperor Julius Caesar, the Palatine Hill which once housed opulent palaces of the Roman elites, and the Roman Forum where important public meetings of the day took place.
