Explore Hamburg’s immersive art world
Step inside Port des Lumières, Hamburg’s first permanent immersive art venue. Housed in a historic space with a reconstructed ship’s bow in the main hall, the venue pays tribute to the city’s maritime roots while immersing you in digital artistry. Your ticket grants access to all current exhibitions, starting with Gustav Klimt: Gold in Motion. Here, towering projections breathe life into Klimt’s iconic golden portraits, landscapes, and works like ‘The Kiss’ and ‘The Tree of Life’, inviting you to experience them in full motion.
See art in motion across centuries
Next, dive into Hundertwasser: In the Wake of the Vienna Secession, a visual spectacle of vibrant colors and animated interpretations of his architectural and philosophical ideas. Explore how digital art reimagines his legacy with bold patterns and flowing forms. Continue with ‘Journey: Contemporary Creation’, a multi-sensory exhibit combining motion design, soundscapes, and photography. All around, curated music—ranging from Wagner to ambient electronic—enriches the immersive atmosphere. Families can also visit the on-site Kids Atelier, a playful space designed to spark young imaginations through interactive creativity.
