Die Guides waren sehr freundlich und haben schöne Fotos von uns gemacht! Es gab jede Menge zu Essen und zu trinken und die Atmosphäre in den Tipis war wirklich toll! Das i- Tüpfelchen waren natürlich die fantastischen Nordlichter! Es hatte den Tag geregnet und es war sehr bewölkt. Wir wollten erst stornieren, weil wir Sorge hatten, dass wir keine Nordlichter sehen werden. Aber es hat alles ganz wunderbar geklappt?

I just wanted to thank you for an unforgettable experience on the northern lights tour. From the warm welcome to the amazing Portuguese couple who guided us, everything was perfect. They shared great stories that made the experience even more special, and the BBQ was fantastic! We were lucky enough to see the northern lights, which was the highlight of the trip. Pick-up is available from selected hotels or the local office in Rovaniemi (if the option is selected). After a brief introduction, your guide provides winter overalls and boots before heading out into the Arctic forest.

Venture deep into Finnish Lapland, one of the world’s best regions to view the Aurora Borealis. Large groups are guided by experts who help you capture stunning Aurora photos.

Aurora viewing locations: Travel 20–100 km from Rovaniemi to escape city lights and maximize your chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

Professional photography: A photographer captures high-quality images of your group and the Auroras, which are emailed to you after the tour.

Campfire BBQ: Enjoy reindeer sausage, marshmallows, and hot blueberry juice around a campfire, with vegetarian/vegan options available on request.

Cultural insights: Learn about the science behind the Auroras and hear legends from Sami and Lappish cultures from your knowledgeable guide.

What to bring

Bring a valid photo ID to match your booking if requested at pickup.

Dress warmly in layers; winter overalls and boots are provided, but additional thermal clothing, hats, and gloves are recommended.

Bring your own camera if you wish to take photos or learn photography tips during the Northern Lights hunt.

Have your booking confirmation (digital or printed) ready for pickup and check-in.

What’s not allowed

Unaccompanied children under 12 are not allowed; all children must be accompanied by an adult paying full price.

Pets are not permitted, except registered service animals.

Alcohol, drugs, or any form of intoxication are strictly prohibited.

Smoking is not allowed inside vehicles or during group activities.

This experience is not wheelchair accessible.

The tour involves walking on uneven, snowy, or icy terrain in natural settings.

Additional information

Northern Lights sightings are not guaranteed as they depend on weather conditions and solar activity.

Minimum age for participation is 3 years; infants under 2 join free of charge.

At least 2 people are required for small group tours on weekdays and Saturdays; at least 4 on Sundays and public holidays.

Maximum group size is 8 guests per car for small group tours; large group tours may have more participants.

Be ready in your hotel lobby 10 minutes prior to scheduled pickup; exact departure time is in your confirmation email.

If the Northern Lights are not captured by the photographer, you may join the tour again within 1 week at half price (subject to availability).

Children aged 3–11 must be accompanied by an adult.

Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 mins before the scheduled time of your tour to avoid any delays.
