Inspired by the memoirs of burlesque legend Gypsy Rose Lee, this dazzling tale follows the ultimate stage mother as she pushes her daughters into the spotlight while chasing a little limelight of her own. Set against the backdrop of 1920s–30s vaudeville and burlesque, expect three original Jerome Robbins choreographies, sharp wit, big brass numbers, and one unforgettable ride through the highs and heartbreaks of the entertainment world.
The story
Rose Hovick's daughters Louise and June are stars: she'll make sure of it. Come rain or shine, her girls will put in the work to be vaudevillian royalty, no matter the cost. They'll take on every role and climb every step the roaring 20s has to offer to become what their mother has always dreamed they could be. Or will they?
