Lan Ha Bay: 2D1N 5-Star Cruise

This trip is really special, I'd suggest it to anyone traveling out here. What makes it stand out is how much the crew cares—everyone puts in real effort to make your time great. The meals were endless, honestly probably too much food, but just know drinks aren't part of the package. For me, Dan the cruise manager and James the supervisor were fantastic hosts, they really paid attention to every guest and went out of their way to make everything feel personal. If it was just for them this would be a full five stars, but some small things: Wi-Fi barely worked, there wasn't hot water in the morning, and on the three-day trip, a couple tours repeated. The weather was rough which took some fun out, but that's not their fault and they tried to make the best of it. So thanks again to Dan and James and their great crew for making it all so memorable.

Dan the cruise manager and James the supervisor really impressed me—they made it feel more personal and checked in with everyone. I probably would’ve given 5 stars, but Wi-Fi was barely usable, no hot water in the morning, and a few tours on the three-day option were a bit repetitive. Weather was rough so that made some things less fun, but can’t blame anyone for that, the team did their best to work around it. Big thanks to Dan and James and the rest of the crew for making it all memorable!

Went for the 2-night, 3-day deal, and I swear, I showed up just as a traveler but left feeling like part of the family. Chatted a lot with the staff, felt totally relaxed there. Only downside was having to say goodbye and check out of the cruise. What really hit me was how the crew keeps their energy up, they’re always cheerful, making sure everyone’s having a blast. Kinda inspired me to bring that same attitude to my own stuff. They work hard to make sure everyone’s comfortable and happy. You can see they actually care. Whether you're solo or coming with friends, honestly, this is one of the best ways to see Ha Long Bay. Definitely worth booking!

We wrapped up our Vietnam journey with a 3-day, 2-night Amanda Cruise after lots of hiking. The ship was lovely with a really nice room, and the people working there were always around to help out and very quick to respond. Mountains and water made for amazing scenery the whole time. Meals were tasty too. Only thing—we noticed the activities on the last day were pretty minimal, especially since you have to get up early. The pearl farm stop on day two was neat but over before you knew it. Still, if you're looking to chill out at the end of your trip, I'd say this cruise is a great choice.

All up, our Amanda Cruise trip was a good one. The cabin was comfy and pleasant, food was pretty solid (especially the pho at breakfast, that was a winner for me). The best parts were probably the kayaking and bamboo boats in the morning, plus checking out that cave. Only downsides: the shuttle boats got pretty hot and weren't the coziest, and the little island stop was way too packed—so many tourists you could barely move. Still, the cruise is a good deal overall. Quick tip: it's easiest to get in touch with the crew by WhatsApp, since they might not answer if you email.
