    If you are looking for interactive experiences with native Australian fauna, it's worth the train ride out from the CBD. We got to hand feed kangaroos, wallabys, pademelons and quokkas. Also lorakeets. Many of the animals, especially the birds are able to come right up to the front of the enclosure and are excited to interact with you. Their individual personalities really come out. This is no staring at bored animals from 30 feet away like at most zoos. Also I found the prices to be reasonable. Featherdale made the trip from the US worthwhile. I would otherwise never have gotten to pet a wallaby or touch a koala.
