Kunst wird in Licht und bewegte Bilder transformiert. Man kann in das Kunstwerk 'eintauchen' und damit 'verschmelzen'. Die Animation ist toll gemacht. Bravo Die Musik ist fantastisch, sehr passend gewählt und hat mich begeistert. Der Besuch in der fabrique des lumièrrs war tatsächlich ein Highlight unseres Amsterdam Besuches.

See twice the spectacle with entry to Fabrique des Lumières and access to any two immersive exhibitions. Choose the pairing that interests you most and watch celebrated artworks or prehistoric worlds unfold through monumental projections, animation, and music inside one of Amsterdam's most striking digital art venues.

Getting started

Head to Fabrique des Lumières at Amsterdam's Westergasfabriek and present your ticket at the entrance. Your ticket is valid for one of the three available exhibition combinations, giving you access to two of the three immersive exhibitions during your visit. Follow the scheduled exhibition timings and enjoy each show at your own pace.

What to expect

Housed inside a beautifully restored industrial building, Fabrique des Lumières transforms vast walls, floors, and pillars into enormous digital canvases using high definition projections and carefully curated soundtracks. Depending on the ticket you choose, you'll visit two immersive exhibitions, each offering a completely different visual journey.

Features:

Choose any two exhibitions: Select one of three available combinations before your visit. Pair Dutch Masters with Klimt, Dutch Masters with Prehistoric Planet: Dinosaurs, or Klimt with Prehistoric Planet: Dinosaurs.

Dutch Masters, from Vermeer to Van Gogh: Watch masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and other renowned Dutch artists fill the venue through breathtaking projections, accompanied by music that adds new depth to every brushstroke.

Gustav Klimt: Wander through shimmering golden imagery inspired by Klimt's celebrated masterpieces, including The Kiss, alongside works influenced by the Vienna Secession movement, all reimagined on a monumental scale.

The Prehistoric Planet: Dinosaurs: Travel back millions of years as towering dinosaurs roam across immersive prehistoric landscapes, brought to life through cinematic animation, realistic sound, and spectacular digital projections.

What to bring

Have your entry tickets and ID ready for a seamless experience.

What’s not allowed

Smoking, food and drinks, umbrellas, prams, child carriers, strollers, suitcases, and other large items are not allowed on this experience.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Flash photography is strictly prohibited at the venue.

Safety is a priority so this experience is restricted for unsupervised guests under the age of 12 years

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair accessible, except for the Hall’s tiered seating.

Two wheelchairs are available for visitors.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

There are 40 seats in the main exhibition area, and foldable chairs can be borrowed at the entrance if needed.

Some exhibitions feature light effects, which may not be suitable for individuals with epilepsy or vertigo.

The venue is located at Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam.

Multiple exhibitions may run at the same time, and the lineup changes periodically.

Exhibition timings from 26 June until 17 September 2026 (daily):

9:30am - 11:30am (Dutch Masters)

12 noon - 2:30pm (Prehistoric Planet)

3pm - 6pm (Gustav Klimt)

Facilities: Lockers, a cloakroom, and restrooms
