Getting started
Arrive at the Ninenzaka tea house and check in at the reception. Tickets are validated on arrival, and all guests undergo a brief security check. Socks must be worn; if needed, they’re available for purchase on-site.

What to bring
- In Japan, it is customary to wear socks when visiting a traditional Japanese house. If you arrive barefoot, socks will be available for you at an additional fee.
