The mysterious castles of Romania
A day trip from Bucharest to the Gothic castles of Romania almost sounds too perfect! During official holidays and weekends, traffic may be heavier and the return to Bucharest may be later than scheduled (around 9pm–10pm).

Peles Castle will be closed for general cleaning and preventive conservation from Nov 3 to Dec 2, 2025. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to visit Pelisor Castle instead.
