Choose comfortable walking shoes, as both towns have uneven cobblestones, sloped pathways, and large pedestrian zones.

Pack a light jacket or warm layer, because temperatures in South Bohemia are often cooler and windier than in Prague, especially near the river or in shaded parts of town.
