I'll tell you what made the visit to the wildlife sanctuary special... I had worked on the donut machine, back in 1971. I worked for Alex Griffiths and he let me feed the birds on my 21st birthday. He said I was the first girl to feed the laurakeets. now at 76. I returned. I wanted to see if the things that Alex Griffiths worked for Waz still there and the job that the national trust has done at the sanctuary is amazing. It was a wonderful day walking around and seeing how people had maintained what I thought Mr Griffiths had wanted for that sanctuary.

The nine different light zones were mesmerizing in there own unique ways, and following the digital story map as we progressed through added a aspect that allowed our imaginations to come alive

The trio was amazing! It was supposed to be a safari zoo but they have implemented another element of entertainment what does not affect the living for wildlife's! It's fun to try it out once

The staff were wonderful. The layout of the park and how the walkways covered the whole park. The highlight of the day was feeding the lorrokeets. A must see when on the gold.coast

Great tour! My son, husband and I had the best time! We've travelled from Melbourne on a holiday and this was high on our list of things to do. Highly recommend

Astra Lumina was such a great experience! The whole night felt like stepping into another world. The lights, music and atmosphere made the walk genuinely magical, and there were so many moments where we just stopped to take it all in. We also loved the fire pits before heading in grabbing some food and a drink, sitting around the fire and soaking up the atmosphere was the perfect way to start the night. It was something completely different from the usual night out, and we came away with some awesome memories. Beautiful, immersive and seriously good fun. Definitely an experience worth doing!

Check out the many interactive displays, as you explore the lush eucalyptus and rainforest surroundings. All your animal favorites are here; cuddle up to and have your photo taken with an adorable koala, say hello to crocodiles, hand-feed friendly kangaroos, and feel your heart warm when you spot the Red Panda wrap their large bushy tails around themselves. Don’t miss out on the Rainbow lorikeet feeding - one of the main attractions - with two demonstrations, morning and afternoon!

Your visit continues with fascinating Aboriginal performances that offer insights into the rich cultural heritage of the region through dance and storytelling. These experiences not only entertain but deepen your understanding of the land's history. Conclude your visit with a stop at the sanctuary's wildlife hospital. Here, observe veterinarians as they treat injured wildlife, providing a real-time look at the essential conservation efforts that help protect Australia's diverse animal species.

Please be prepared to make on-site payments using a 'contactless' bank card, rather than cash.

Weekly cleaning and maintenance is undertaken on the Wild Island Splash Zone every Thursday until 11am.

Weekly essential maintenance is conducted on the Currumbin Railway network every Wednesday until 11:30am. Trains operate all afternoon on a Wednesday following this maintenance until 4pm.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is closed on April 25 and December 25 every year.
