Our guide Anna was very accommodating. My parents were running late as there is just so much walking in Rome, they were a bit tired. Anyway they made it and the tour began. Anna was very knowledgeable about St Peter’s Basilica born from a genuine passion she has for the place. The tour was therefore very informative and highlighted loads of different aspects that only a guided tour could. She delivered just enough information to keep your interest whilst trying to show as much as possible during the tour. It was a perfect balance. St Peter’s Basilica was just incredible and it would be somewhere I would revisit when I return. Thank you Anna for making it one of the best tours, David enjoyed the humour as well.

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our tour of St. Peter’s Basilica and the Papal Tombs. Our guide, Romina, was incredible—extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient. Because our group was so small, she took the time to answer all of our questions and explain every detail with such care. We also feel incredibly fortunate that we were able to go through the Holy Door during this tour. It was a very special moment for our family. My wife and I have done this tour once before, and this experience with Romina was far more in-depth and meaningful than our previous one. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Romina!

Our guide Valeri, was fantastic. Dressed smartly, and carried himself wih the grace and charm of the refined French gentleman that he is. And so knowledgeable of not only the art in the basilica, but last the symbolism behind each piece. I've been to St Peter's twice before, but only toured on my own. It was a busy day, so we had to wait a little bit for the pilgrims to go, but once we got inside, we went directly to the tombs. There were many pretty tombstones. Then we went up to see the rest of the Basilica, and we discussed many of the statues and art. There were too many to get to them all, but it was nice to see and get some background on them.

Mobile phones must remain in silent mode inside the Basilica.

Accessibility

Some of the buses are wheelchair accessible. This means wheelchair users can only board buses equipped with a footboard and dedicated space.

Wheelchair passengers must secure themselves with safety belts while the bus is in motion.

Only one wheelchair is allowed on the bus at a time.

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers.

Small and medium-sized pets with leashes, muzzles, and pet carriers are allowed.

Please note that the one-loop bus tour does not offer hop-on hop-off access.

The 1-day pass is valid for a single calendar day, whereas the 24 or 48-hour pass is valid for 24 or 48 hours from the time of activation respectively.

Around religious holidays at the Vatican, parts of the tour such as the Papal Tombs may not be open. In this case, the tour of the Basilica itself will be extended.
