The night climb was fantastic! Beautiful views and a fun experience learning about the bridge and surrounding areas from high above. Andrew is the best guide, very knowledgeable and great energy that makes the whole experience fun! My group had an unfortunate hiccup at the start but the Adventure Climb group made it right and gave us a partial refund for a member that could not join. Overall a great experience and would likely do it again at another time slot to experience sunrise over the city.

Brisbane from Top

Take to the iconic Story Bridge of Brisbane after dark: it is one of the best ways to soak up views of the city. Capturing the twinkling city lights from the CBD and the vast canopy of Brisbane’s skyline, you’ll be enveloped by the beauty of it all. Walk under the warm glow of the ever-changing Story Bridge’s multi-colored LED lighting system. Your climb begins at the base camp, where you will be briefed by your guide. Then, ascend a spiral staircase that will take you to the start of the suspended walkway. Start your journey to the base of the southern pylon, collecting facts, stories, and myths about Brisbane’s colorful history along the way.

Revel in Stellar Views

You’ll climb through the inner Eastern bridge arm, and ascend straight up the south-eastern cantilever arm that reaches up into the sky. Once at the top, drink in stunning 360-degree views of Brisbane and its twinkling surroundings. From the Glass House Mountains to Moreton Bay and south to the Scenic Rim, you’ll see it all. Venture further along, traveling about halfway across the river before returning back to the top platform. Say cheese as your group is photographed to commemorate the climb (if you want individual photographs, they are available for purchase).

Additional information

The climb experience lasts approximately 90 minutes. This includes your briefing, safety demonstration, and the climbing route.

Personal items will not be permitted on the bridge adventure climb, although lockers are provided.

It is mandatory to wear fully enclosed rubber-soled footwear.

All climbers must be at least 6 years of age with a minimum height of 110cm.

Children aged between 6-16 years must be accompanied by an adult or guardian whilst climbing.

At least one adult must accompany a child aged 6 to 10 years, whereas an adult can take responsibility for up to 3 children aged 10-16yrs.

Children aged 5 years and under will be unable to participate.

Every climber will be breathalyzed and must register under 0.05.

The maximum weight limit is 130kgs.

Climbs operate in most weather conditions, even rain.

As climbers will not be permitted to take cameras (including video cameras) onto the climb, there are 3 photo opportunities that your climb leader will take photos from. Photos will be available to purchase from the photo-shop after your climb experience.
