Excelente opción, salimos desde Copacabana en el Praça do Lido, el acceso fue rápido, confiable y fácil, ahí te escanean el código QR que te había llegado al correo y te entregan las boletas de la van y del ingreso, ellos tienen cámaras en el Cristo redentor y te informan si está muy nublado o despejado y así tomas la decisión si subes o puedes cambiar de día lo cual me pareció muy razonable ; luego subes a una van muy cómoda, en 20 min estás arriba del corcovado, luego te hacen otro control con la boleta de entrada y subes nuevamente en otra van por 5 minutos hasta llegar al acceso del Cristo redentor; arriba puedes quedarte el tiempo que necesites y el regreso es igual dejándote en la misma parte; una experiencia muy recomendada 10/10.

Visiting Christ the Redeemer was one of the highlights of my trip to Rio. The round-trip van transfer made everything easy and stress-free, especially as a first-time visitor. From start to finish, this experience honestly exceeded my expectations. I have done a fair bit of traveling, and this experience really stayed with me. The round-trip van transfer took a lot of stress out of the day. Everything was organized, on time, and smooth, which made it easy to just relax and take it all in. When we finally arrived and I caught my first glimpse of Christ the Redeemer, I had to pause. Pictures don’t do it justice, the scale, the presence, the way it overlooks the entire city, it’s something you feel, not just see. What really made it special for me was the sense of connection. Standing up there, looking out over Rio, I felt both small in the best way and deeply grounded at the same time. It was peaceful, powerful, and honestly a little emotional. There was a moment where I just stood still, took a breath, and let it all sink in, and that’s the part I’ll remember most. The whole experience felt welcoming and accessible, and I appreciated how easy it was to navigate everything without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. If you’re someone who values not just seeing a landmark but really experiencing it, this is absolutely worth it. I’d recommend this to anyone, especially if you want a smooth, meaningful visit without the usual hassle. It’s one of those experiences that sticks with you long after you leave.

What to bring

Carry your printed voucher to exchange for a boarding pass at the meeting point on the day of the visit. Ensure your ID is on hand for a smooth experience.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, light clothing on hot days, and carrying sunscreen and sunglasses.

The viewing platforms are wheelchair accessible.

The experience involves climbing about 222 steps. But, for your convenience, ramps and elevators are available at the statue.

Tip: Pick your boarding point based on where you’re staying: Copacabana is ideal for South Zone beaches like Copacabana and Ipanema. Largo do Machado works best if you’re coming from central Rio areas such as Glória, Flamengo, or Lapa, or by metro.

Getting there (Copacabana): Located at Praça do Lido on Avenida Atlântica, this is ideal for those staying in Copacabana, Ipanema, or other South Zone areas. It’s a 10-min walk from Cardeal Arcoverde metro station, and nearby bus lines include 104-TRO4, 432, 457, 472, 473, and 483.

Getting there (Largo do Machado): Located in front of Nossa Senhora da Glória Church, just 2 minutes from Largo do Machado metro station. This is the most convenient option if you're staying in central Rio areas like Glória, Flamengo, or Lapa. Nearby bus lines include 104-TRO4, 497, 583, and 775D.

Return transfers follow the same boarding point and transport mode. If you depart from Largo do Machado by van, you'll return there by van as well.

Arrive at your boarding point at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Vans operate on a strict schedule and will not wait for late arrivals. Missed departures are non-refundable.

Access via Estrada do Redentor is closed. All visitors must use authorized transport.
