Château magnifique, une expérience unique. Nous restons ébahis par tant de beauté. Décidément François 1er nous a rapporté d'Italie ce qui s'appelle le style renaissance et ses talents d'architecte ont fait le reste !

Ein wirklich schöner Ort mit einer beeindruckenden Archtitektur und Geschichte. Der kurze Film am Anfang hat einen sehr gut auf die Räumlichkeiten und den geschichtlichen Hintergrund vorbereitet. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Le château est majestueux. Les toits avec les tours les cheminées sont impressionnants. L'escalier central à double hélice est un élément capital dans la visite... Pour moi c'est le plus beau château de France...

Grandiose, sublime. Un vrai moment de bonheur de visiter ce château. Nous avons choisi la visite guidée essentielle avec une accompagnatrice compétente et passionnée. Je recommande !!!

El castillo es impresionante se puede visitar en 3 -4 horas destacar el vídeo introductorio donde se explica la historia del castillo bajo el mecenazgo del Rey Francisco I gran cazador y interesado en la arquitectura.destacar la colección de botones específicos sobre animales ya que el rei era un apasionado de la caza. Impresionante la escalera diseñada por Leonardo da vinci

Les toilettes n'était pas net , pas digne d'un lieu de prestige. Et quand j'ai payé mon parking pas de problème, mais quand je suis sortie, j'ai bloqué le parking et toutes les voitures se sont bloquées derrière nous. Panique car les voitures s'impatientaient. Autrement château magnifique Bon souvenirs

Getting started

Arrive at the Chambord Castle and head straight to the entrance after security checks. Your ticket skips the long ticket office lines but note that standard security screenings still apply. Have your ID ready for validation, then pick up a free visitor’s guide or watch a 20-minute film to set the scene for your visit.

What to expect

Chambord is the Loire Valley’s largest chateau, built by François I as a symbol of power and heavily inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s vision.

Temporary exhibitions – Access to rotating cultural displays is included in your ticket.

Accessibility

The ground floor is accessible to people with limited mobility. However, there is no elevator serving the first and second floors.

Guide dogs are allowed through the entire estate.

Additional information

There is low connectivity within the castle; download your tickets in advance.

Pets are not allowed inside the castle, gardens, and stables; they are in the park, on a leash.

Since this is a historic site, certain rooms are exceptionally closed to visitors.

Autumns and winters are exceptionally cold inside the castle. Plan accordingly.

Entrance to the castle and gardens is free for:

Children under 18 years old with family accompanied by an adult on an individual visit (on presentation of proof of identity).

European Union nationals under 26 years of age on an individual visit (on presentation of an identity document and a European Union residence permit)

For organized groups, admission is free from November to February for 6-17 year olds and 18-25 year olds from the European Union. From March to October, a reservation fee of €3 per person applies for these two categories.
