Great guide. He explained everything well. We didn't see whales which was disappointing but he told us that might be the case. We saw 2 species of dolphins and an unusual species of whale which really wasn't a whale. People rarely see them so that was exciting.

We saw so many Atlantic spotted dolphins, it was amazing to be among them ! We also saw 6 sperm whales, we were lucky ! Also, the captain Miguel and the guide were very kind and helped us a lot to spot them !

Unfortunately, no whales were close enough to be seen this time, but we did get to see 3 kinds of dolphins! On the way back, one of the pods showed up to say goodbye again which was very fun.

The speedboat ride was great fun and we got to see different types of dolphin. The skipper drove the boat well and the biologist gave us plenty of information. Highly recommended.

Fantastic trip and fabulous staff!! We got to see dolphins and sperm whales, all of them socializing and super close to us, it was amazing. The explanations were also complete and on point. Perfect trip for the family :-)

Ride a high-speed Zodiac RIB or Catamaran, with a marine biologist guiding each encounter so you get front-row insight into Azorean wildlife.

A marine biologist or wildlife guide accompanies you offshore, with waterproof suit, life vest, all fees, and insurance.

Out on the Atlantic, crew and land lookouts help locate pods, with up to 28 whale and dolphin species recorded by this operator across the seasons.

On-water team follows Azores whale watching guidelines, limiting approach distances and viewing time so cetaceans are observed without disturbance.

I had an excellent trip overall. My catamaran was out of service on the original day, but communication was good and I was rescheduled easily. I saw dolphins and two sperm whales, and I found the guides friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was comfortable and not crowded.

What to bring

Sun protection: Bring sunscreen and chapstick, as you will be exposed to sun and salt air during the cruise.

Camera: Bring a camera and protect your equipment from water, especially if you love photography.

What’s not allowed

Wildlife interaction: Do not attempt to touch or feed any wildlife at any time during the tour.

Restricted participants: Pregnant women and people with weak backs or delicate health conditions are not allowed on this tour.

Young children: Children below 4 years old are not allowed to join this experience.

Unaccompanied minors: Minors must be accompanied by an adult and cannot join the tour alone.
