    I had an excellent trip overall. My catamaran was out of service on the original day, but communication was good and I was rescheduled easily. I saw dolphins and two sperm whales, and I found the guides friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was comfortable and not crowded.

    Unfortunately, no whales were close enough to be seen this time, but we did get to see 3 kinds of dolphins! On the way back, one of the pods showed up to say goodbye again which was very fun.

    I saw three potfish from a fairly close distance, and I got very wet from the splashing water, so I would keep that in mind.

    I took this excursion on July 22 at 8:30 AM and found the guide warm and passionate. I learned a lot about marine life in São Miguel and saw five dolphin species plus a whale. I appreciated the company’s respect for the animals and the chance of a refund or rescheduling if nothing was spotted.

    I saw dolphins and a sei whale, and I thought the experience was very good overall. I wished I had seen more, but I understood that the distance we traveled to find the whale reduced the time available for exploring. I found the staff knowledgeable and would recommend the tour.
