Walking through the winding, tiny streets of this ancient hamlet, your guide will regale you with tales of the region's rich history. Examine Giotto's one-of-a-kind depictions of Saint Frances of Assisi's life in the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi to learn more about the importance of this popular pilgrimage site. You can go on to the Basilica of Santa Chiara, a shrine dedicated to Saint Clare of Assisi.
