Saltgruvorna var bra, men jag skulle ha velat ha lite tid att titta runt de små marknadsstånden, uppenbarligen lokalbefolkningen så det skulle ha varit trevligt att köpa souvenirer. guiden var inte särskilt informativ.

Saltgruvan var imponerande. Jag älskade all information som vår reseguide gav (Rodiga tror jag var hennes namn). Hon gav oss information inte bara om saltgruvan utan om rumänsk historia och staden Bukarest också. Hon talade mycket bra engelska och hon svarade på alla våra frågor. Tack för en fantastisk upplevelse.

Hills of history and healing
The salt mine hall stands at 70 meters tall and the circuit runs around the enormous pillar supporting the mine. Here, admire the basso-rilievo works depicting some of the most important figures in Romanian history.
Inside the Salt Mine, you will find a small history museum, a soccer field and a children's playground. The place is also used for various sports events (athletic competitions and as training ground for sport teams), as sanatorium for the elderly and the sick or as a scenery for the film industry.
After visiting the Salt Mine, the tour continues to the Salt Museum, where you can find out about the history of salt exploitation and it's biological importance.

- Bring warm clothing, as the Salt Mine maintains a constant temperature of 12°C.
- Please note that pick-up and drop-off are available only from Athenee Palace Hotel, University Square, and Romana Square.
- The experience requires a minimum of 3 and allows up to 15 participants.
