Ingen fördröjning vid entrén med vår förbokade biljett. Castel Sant' Angelo är inte lika glamoröst som många av de andra stora turistattraktionerna, men det har en fascinerande historia. Besöket omfattade ett museum med flera modeller och målningar av hur platsen såg ut under olika perioder. Från de högre nivåerna har man en fantastisk panoramautsikt över Rom.

Detta var en fantastisk turné. Fick inte chansen att se det förra gången vi besökte Rom så var toppen av min lista den här gången. Nedladdningsguiden var användbar men vi tyckte att det var svårt att veta vart vi skulle gå ibland eftersom det fanns olika nummer om för olika turer men vi lyckades göra vår egen väg runt. Låg punkt var caféet / baren. Vi ville ha en drink ... väntade men ingen kom till oss så vi gick in och hon sa till oss att gå ut och vänta på servitören. Vi gav upp i slutändan vilket gjorde att vi lämnade tidigare än vi ville hitta någonstans att ta en drink. Så rådet är "ta med vatten!

Det var lätt att hitta mötesplatsen, instruktionerna under hela processen för att komma in i Vatikanen var enkla, tillgängliga, artiga och vänliga proffs, museituren var otrolig, Cistine Chapel var otroligt charmigt.

Det var ett underbart besök ... vi njöt av skönheten i freskerna i de olika rummen ... och skönheten i trädgården och fontänerna i villa d'este.

Det var ingen kö. Vi kom in direkt, det enda är att det borde finnas små maskiner för att ta gamla människor som blir för trötta och fri tillgång till hissen. I slutet av det 4 timmar långa besöket fanns det inga branta trappor och jag fick veta av barpersonalen att hissen inte kunde användas.

Det jag älskade mest med den här platsen var museet och Peterskyrkan, som verkligen är otroliga. Vi åkte dessutom vid precis rätt tidpunkt eftersom vi kunde delta i en avskedsmässa till påven Franciskus ära, vilket var mycket imponerande. Nackdelen var att jag hade betalat för att få tillgång till Sixtinska kapellet, men på grund av aktuella händelser var kapellet stängt, så vi kunde inte använda den extra biljetten till Sixtinska kapellet.
