Guiden gav insiktsfulla kommentarer om historia, konst och konstnärer när vi besökte olika gallerier inom museet. Hennes kommentarer på engelska var mycket förståeliga och lätta att höra med de viskande headset som vår grupp bar under den 90 minuter långa turen. Vår guide svarade gärna på frågor under turen. Genom att vara med på rundturen när museet öppnade kl. 10.00 kunde vi undvika den långa kön till inträdet. Mötesplatsen för början av turen var lätt att hitta.

Trots att jag hade bokat turen på engelska var den faktiska turen på engelska spanska språket. Det var den enda défaut! Biljettreservationen var väldigt enkel och vår guide Miguel snäll och kunnig om museet, han gav oss mycket användbar information och gjorde turnén mycket intressant. Sammantaget var det en mycket bra upplevelse!

Jag älskade att jag kunde köpa biljetter i sista minuten. Guiden var fantastisk - energisk, kunnig och personlig. Hans entusiasm för konst kunde inte undgå att smitta av sig även på hans åhörare. Biljettprocessen hade en glitch. Det tog lång tid att få 2-stegsverifiering från min bank för att betala för biljetter med mitt kreditkort. Jag var tvungen att logga in i appen innan de skickade en verifieringskod för att låta köpet gå vidare. Medan jag kämpade med det uppdaterade Headout-webbplatsen sig själv och tilldelade biljetterna till standardinställningen - den aktuella dagen. Det slutade med att jag betalade för två biljetter som jag inte kunde använda eftersom jag ännu inte ens var i Madrid. Snälla gör en av två saker: 1. Ge mer tid innan din webbplats uppdateras eller 2. Meddela användarna att datumet har återställts till standarddatumet (aktuellt datum) med en stor popup-skärm som är svår att missa.

Occupying an 18th-century Neo-classical building, the Museo del Prado is home to over 20,000 works of art that include around 7,500 paintings, 8,000 drawings, 4,800 prints, and 1,000 sculptures and other works of art and historical documents. Some of the greats whose works adorn the Prado walls are Francisco Goya, El Greco, Diego Velazquez, Hieronymus Bosch, Peter Paul Rubens, and Titian. Thousands of other paintings from the Renaissance and Baroque period are also on display at the Museo del Prado.
