Hop on Hop Off-tjänsten var mycket informativ med bra ljudbeskrivningar och mycket trevliga förare. Webbplatserna var väl täckta för att besöka. 3-dagarsbiljetten skulle förmodligen täcka en solnedgångstur, men enligt personalen på Union Station var det inte så, så vi slösade praktiskt taget bort / betalade för en extra dag eftersom vi inte fick gå på den när vädret var bättre : (

Älskade allt med det utom att vänta på bussen! Det här är min andra undersökning men vi tyckte så mycket om upplevelsen att vi inte hade något emot att göra det igen.

Det var bekvämt och enkelt. Förarna och människorna vid hållplatserna var fantastiska. Bussen var ren och i skick. Ljudspåren kunde använda lite uppdatering med mer information och mindre musik. Det finns så mycket att säga om Washington DC för att fylla luckorna. Jag gillade att höra om bassängen som hade varit ett träsk och knyta det till frasen "dränera träsket". Det visste jag inte. Det är en inlärningsupplevelse för många barn (och vuxna) så packa den full av "Vem visste?" -moment och mindre musik.

Jag förstår att det är trafik och att bussarna i Washington DC stannar kl. 16.30. Men vid Lincoln Memorial visar busstidtabellen att bussen passerar ungefär var 20:e minut. När jag kom till upphämtningsområdet angav appen en väntetid på 45 - 55 minuter, alltså mer än dubbelt så lång. När jag kom tillbaka till Washingtonmonumentet för att byta från rosa till röd hade den sista bussen redan avgått och jag fick gå tillbaka till min startpunkt. Att undvika en 20 minuters promenad var en av de främsta anledningarna till att jag köpte biljetten. Personen vid Washington Monument erbjöd mig inga andra lösningar och hade en "åh ja, för dåligt" attityd. 3/28 var en del av topp Cherry Blossom-tiden, så det fanns trafik. Kanske schemalägga extra bussar, förpositionera vissa bussar för att undvika dubbel väntetid eller förlänga schemat när sådana allvarliga trafikförseningar inträffar för att få människor tillbaka till sin utgångspunkt.
