Begin your day tour at the Boqueria Market, rated as one of the top food markets in the world. Be amazed at the sheer variety of freshly prepared food available here. Led by a local guide, stroll through the patterned walkways and learn about Catalan food traditions and indulge in local olives. Exiting the market, find yourself at the scenic Ramblas promenade. A former market, famous for its flower sellers, it is a wonderful place to soak up the ambiance and snap a few photos.

Step back in time at the Gothic Quarter and walk through its charming streets, full of antique stores and even an occasional antique market. Continue to the bustling Santa Caterina Market, the first covered market in Barcelona, with its undulating, brightly colored roof. Before the final stop, visit a local caganer shop and discover the story of one of Catalonia’s strangest traditions. Marvel at the monumental church of Santa Maria del Mar, and hear intriguing tales of La Ribera neighborhood sailors.

Conclude your day tour at the sprawling Market of Born. Built as a market, this striking steel and glass structure now houses the remains of the Born neighborhood dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
