Eco-adventure extraordinaire
Embark on a unique journey through the wilderness with this adventure. Starting in the charming Fox Glacier Village, you'll mount your E-bikes and with an experienced guide begin your journey through the ancient podocarp rainforest. As you ascend, you'll marvel at the effortless power of the E-bike, which makes light work of any hill. Midway, you’ll trade your E-bike for leather boots, and continue your ascent on foot through the Mills Creek track, passing Cone Rock and New Zealand's largest active landslip. Your guide will coach you on the use of E-bike equipment and ensure you're kitted out with walking boots and raincoats for the hike.
Hike through wilderness, meet a glacier
Reaching the climax of the hike, you'll find yourself at a viewpoint offering the closest views of the terminal face of the Fox Glacier. As you absorb this breathtaking sight, your guide will share intriguing snippets about the glacier – like its astonishing speed, advancing at about a meter a week. After soaking in the views, you’ll retrace your steps, hop back on your E-bikes, and coast back to the village, ending your journey on a high note of awe and satisfaction.
What to bring

Clothing: Bring along your warm upper-body clothing (preferably 3-4 layers), leggings or light trousers, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

You can also bring your essential medication, water bottle, drinks and snacks.
What's not allowed

Wearing jeans is not allowed.

Safety is a priority so this experience is restricted to guests under the age of 13 years and weighing more than 116kg.

Large bags and drones are not allowed.

There is a 3 kg or 6.6 lbs limit per passenger for carry-on baggage.
Additional information
- A moderate level of fitness is required for this tour which is sufficient to ascend and descend 500-800m over 4-6 hours carrying a light pack of 10kg (22lb).
