Discover Port Wine's History with a Guided Tour of Fonseca Wine Cellars
Experience a unique sensorial tour of wine, gastronomy, and music at the Fonseca Port Wine Cellars. Start your evening with a guided tour of the cellars and learn about the history of Fonseca, which was started nearly 200 years ago. Stroll through the celebrated cellars and learn about the process of producing and aging Port wine and its origins in the Douro Valley. Finish off the guided tour with a special tasting of Siroco and Bin 27, iconic Port wines.
An Evening to Remember with Traditional Dinner & Fado Music
After the tour, prepare for an intimate dinner surrounded by casks and vats, where the Port wines age. Enjoy a beautiful wine tasting accompanied by soul-stirring live music of Fado. As you groove to the sounds, relish in a selection of small dishes like olives & artisanal bread, and the comforting vegetable soup. For the main course, enjoy a plateful of Portugese seabass served with potatoes & vegetables. Pair your delightful meal with Portuguese white and red wines. Finish off with the local favorite, creme brulée, famous for its creamy custard-like texture.
