Explore the 15-hectare site to witness the day-to-day activities of a 19th-century gold mining township. The outdoor museum hosts over 18 activities daily, including gold panning, musket firing, and witnessing the creation of lollies, wheels, and candles. Feel the thrill of discovering real gold and keeping it as a keepsake. Marvel at the collection of gold nuggets, artifacts, coins, and exhibitions displaying a city built on gold.
Ballarat Wildlife Park
Get closer to Australia's diverse wildlife with the Ballarat Wildlife Park tickets. This family-run park houses native Aussie and exotic animals, including kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and crocodiles. Enjoy live shows that educate about different snakes, wombats, and birds of prey. Don't miss the Little Penguin exhibit, the world's smallest penguin species, and the only one found on the Australian mainland. The park is also a home to six new meerkats and five new koala joeys, making your visit more exciting. Your ticket includes access to daily animal shows and presentations, adding an educational aspect to your fun day out.

Main Street at Sovereign Hill is a gentle slope; however, other areas of the site are quite steep. All roads are accessible by wheelchair, but some visitors could find the gravel surfaces difficult to manage.

The wheelchair rental is free but subject to availability, stroller rental is $10.

Occupants of wheelchairs must be accompanied by a capable carer or companion.
