A guided walking tour, such as this, would take you through the history of Dubrovnik, where one can feel the essence of the city’s roots and foundation. For centuries together, the city of Dubrovnik was not only protected by the walls surrounding it but also by the diplomatic skills of its leaders. The city has faced constant threats but has stood firm and independent with the help of its leaders and defensive city walls.

    Through this historic walking tour, you will learn about the challenges faced by Dubrovnik and how the city held guard to remain a prosperous and independent republic. Walk with your knowledgeable guide on the limestone-paved streets of the city’s Old Town and uncover the real story behind the city’s churches, monasteries, and palaces. Walk along the city walls, built in the 12th century, and view the dazzling Adriatic Sea from a different viewpoint. Delve into the history of the city and learn about the magnificent landmarks such as Fort Revelin and Minceta Tower. View Fort Lovrijenac from a distance which is the only fort that belongs to the city walls but is physically separated from them. Uncover the city’s long and rich history and understand why it is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

    • The city walls entrance fee is 35 € EUR per person.
