Had a fun time with a fantastic show. The food was good, but the show was the best I’ve ever seen, the whole story was put together really well. I highly recommend attending this show.

The performance was amazing: stunning costumes and lighting, great singing and storytelling, and a cozy covered pavilion. The food was buffet style and okay (the point of interest isn't worth trying), but honestly, it's really all about the show.

The theatrical show is very entertaining and just the right length. We also enjoyed the traditional hula numbers during dinner. Bought train tickets and enjoyed the train tour of the plantation - learned some history and even got to feed a local herd of pigs. The artisan fair had a few interesting booths but was mostly photography and jewelry. Some events happened at the same time as the train ride; the main issue was that the rest of our table was seated and finishing the salad course by the time we got back. Food was about what you’d expect from a large event buffet, though the desserts were mediocre at best.

The show was great. Non-traditional! Loved it. The drinks were terrible. Very syrupy. And they only had two beers on tap. One was Bud Light. . Food was okay. The fish was great. The desserts had no flavor. I left feeling pretty hungry.

My family did the Luau with dinner and the train ride. Everything was so wonderful! My adult daughters were thrilled to receive leis when we arrived. We hopped on the train and off we went for 40 minutes around the plantation. Then back to the open bar (!!!) and crafters outside, though our time was limited since we missed the first 45 minutes. Still, wonderful crafts. Finally, dinner was served and the show began. The food was great (one of my daughters even said the poi was okay!) and the show itself was captivating. Fabulous and talented cast. SO much fun!

We booked for our two teenage daughters since we had gone on our previous trip. We were a little unsure what they’d think, but it didn't take long for the text messages to come in saying they were having an awesome time. It was their top experience in Kauai.

Attended Luau Kalamaku last night with over 700 shipmates from NCL PRIDE of America! The venue was stunning and we really enjoyed the train tour of the plantation. The guide was super knowledgeable and engaging. The main event was incredible! Loved the show and the history shared through it!

I've been to luaus on Oahu, Maui, and others on Kauai. Kalamaku was hands down the best I've ever been to. We brought our 3 kids (11, 9 & 6) and they all had a blast. We were welcomed with leis, live music, and a stunning setting. We decided to add the train ride which I highly recommend, especially for the kids. It’s about a 30-minute tour of the estate/plantation with live narration. They have plenty of staff around to help, and we always felt like we were getting top-notch service. We also opted for premium seating which had awesome views of the 360-degree stage. The food was really good and I was surprised at how smoothly they got everyone through the buffet lines without feeling rushed. It's an open bar and we never had to wait for a drink. Highly recommend this luau for any occasion.
