The start of your snowmobile escape

If speed and snow are among the things that call your name, this adventure is the one for you. Ride in comfortable vehicles that take you straight from your hotel lobby to the dense forests of Taiga. There, expert instructors will teach you how to safely but smoothly journey through the forest trails on your snowmobiles as you gear up with thermal overalls. Once ready, it’s time to take over the snow-covered tracks! Zoom amidst towering snow-capped trees under the moonlight and take your time to discover the depths of the world’s largest biome and northernmost forest.

Green lights and orange campfires

It takes a pinch of luck, but as you sail through the white trails, you might catch a glimpse of green Northern Lights swaying overhead against the starlit sky. As your snowmobile ride ends, your instructors will light up cozy bonfires for you to sit around and grill some snacks on. Warm up with the crackling fire, a warm drink in hand, and cookies that complement your adventure perfectly.

This small-group tour offers a personalized, intimate experience—ideal for those who prefer not to drive a snowmobile themselves.

What to bring

Bring along your valid driving license, bottle of water, socks, hats, and gloves.

What's not allowed

This experience is restricted to guests aged 17 years and under. The snowmobile driver must be aged 18 years or over and have a driving license of A1, T, A, or B category valid in Finland.

The sledge ride is restricted for children below 4 years.

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.

Keep in mind, that food and drinks are not allowed during this experience. Baby food and special dietary food (for diabetics, allergies, etc.) are exceptions.

Carrying or using drones is prohibited at the Tropical Islands.

Smoking is not permitted on the premises, except in the Bora Bora Lounge.

While pets in general are not permitted at Tropical Islands, dogs are welcome to the venue.

The venue is accessible by wheelchair and pram/stroller.

Additional information

The price is per person with two people sharing the snowmobile.

The snowmobile driver will be held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile. The driver will be held liable for a maximum rate of 1000 € per person in case of an accident.

Please note: An extra surcharge is applicable if staying 10 kilometers or further from the center.

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 mins before the scheduled time of your tour to avoid any delays.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the meeting point.

Customers have an option to either opt for hotel transfers or choose to reach the meeting point on their own.

This ticket includes hotel pickups and drop-offs.

In the next step of booking, please select the name and address of your hotel.

This is applicable to selected hotels within 10km radius from Rovaniemi city center.

On the day of your tour, please report at your hotel lobby 15 min prior to your scheduled departure.

If your hotel does not have a lobby, please wait at the entrance of the hotel.
