These windows depict 1,113 scenes from the Bible, offering a journey through history. This space aimed to evoke a sense of entering the Heavenly Jerusalem.

Don't forget to admire the rose window, a masterpiece of 15th-century stained glass art, crowning the eastern wall. Descend to the lower chapel, a quieter space bathed in a softer light. See the stonework, particularly the 140 sculpted capitals, each adorned with floral motifs. Take a closer look at the small "étrésillons" (interior buttresses) that distribute the weight of the upper chapel's massive vaults. The lower chapel also offers glimpses into the chapel's turbulent past. Your guide will share stories of fires, neglect, and near destruction, highlighting the resilience of this wonder.
