Start your day at Tahune Adventures, where an Airwalk takes you on a thrilling journey 40m above the forest floor. Here, you'll be walking among the ancient Huon Pines, some of which are over 2000 years old. The tour also includes a daring traverse on the Swinging Bridges walk, a suspension bridge that hangs a whopping 100m over the Huon River, providing a stunning view of the river and the surrounding forest.

Thermal Pools & Timeless Caves

Unwind in the constant 28°C thermal pool at Hastings Caves, a natural relaxation point before you explore the underworld. A Parks & Wildlife guide will lead you through Newdegate Cave, a dolerite cathedral adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. This 40-million-year-old cave, still growing at a slow pace of one centimeter every 100 years, is Australia's largest tourist-accessible dolerite cave. The return journey to Hobart includes stops at local stalls, where you can sample Tasmania’s diverse produce, including honey, ice creams, berries, apples, and cherries.

Bring along your day backpack, a reusable water bottle, sturdy shoes for walking, a waterproof jacket, beanie, sunhat, swimwear, and towel.
You are allowed to bring 1 piece of luggage for storage during the day, and 1 day pack for use during the tour day.
Please note that Tasmanian weather can famously change very quickly and it is highly recommend bringing along a few warmer layers even on a summer day.
