Went with my partner because he’s a total Viking nerd. The boat ride over was RELAXING (bring a jacket, gets breezy!). You don’t really see a "city" but the mounds and ruins are cool. Our guide was super enthusiastic, and I loved the little stories about the warrior woman’s grave – gave me chills! Café on the island had great cinnamon buns but coffee was meh. Overall, a magical afternoon, even if the sheep look bored.

Solo trip! Got there on a weekday, crowd wasn’t bad at all. The reconstructed houses are kinda sparse but the landscape is EPIC, especially with autumn leaves. The staff was friendly, though the tour felt a bit rushed. Still, learned a ton. Didn’t expect the hike to be so hilly, so wear comfy shoes. Would def recommend if ur into history.

Such a unique spot! The guide really brought the place to life with legends and facts. Wish there were more hands-on activities, but walking among the mounds felt kinda mystical. Weather was perfect (crisp and sunny). Not a huge crowd, which was nice. Grabbed a sandwich at the café, it was surprisingly tasty.

Cool day trip from Stockholm! Loved the views on the lake, and the guide was super knowledgable. Didn’t realize how much walking there’d be, so my legs were dead by the end. Make sure u bring water if it’s hot. Not a ton of stuff for kids but my teen thought the burial mounds were "kinda metal."

Came with my bestie for a Viking adventure. The reconstructed boats were the highlight for us – got some great pics (outside only, museum inside is no-photos). Café had veggie options which I appreciated. Not a super busy day, so we took our time. Would go again for the chill vibes alone.

Toegankelijkheid

Deze ervaring is helaas niet toegankelijk voor rolstoelen. Je kunt wel een opvouwbare rolstoel meenemen als instappen met hulp mogelijk is.

Cruiseaanlegplaats S167 (halte #6) is 's winters niet operationeel.

Extra informatie

Voor kinderen van 7-15 jaar is een kinderticket nodig. Kinderen onder de 7 hebben gratis toegang onder begeleiding van een betalende volwassene.

Er is een klein café aan boord om Zweedse 'fika' en frisdrank te proberen tegen extra kosten.

Het laatste vertrek is vanaf halte #1 (Koninklijk Paleis) om 16.00 uur.

Kleine en middelgrote honden zijn welkom op de boot. Maar als iemand aan boord allergieën heeft, kan je gevraagd worden om in een bepaald gebied te gaan zitten of een andere rondleiding te nemen.
