Make your way to one of the best-kept elephant sanctuaries in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. After getting picked up from your hotel, journey across rural plains to meet the gentle giants of the countryside. Choose between the half-day (morning or afternoon) and full-day tours according to your convenience, and enjoy the ultimate agricultural experience in the mystic town. Once you reach the Elephant Sanctuary Camp, change into your sanctuary uniform (big bamboo hats and boots) as worn by locals.
A local expert-English speaking guide will brush you up on your zoology knowledge as they brief you about the elephant preservation and rescue on their land. Once this is done, it’s time to meet the elephants and observe them in their natural habitat – watch them sway their tails and trunks, stroll, and play. Don’t forget to take your camera along, as you learn how to prepare and feed them meals. Spend quality time with the elephants as you walk them to the river for a fun mud spa session! Later, you can wash off the grime in the nearby river. End your tour with an authentic Thai meal, before heading back to your hotel.
