De gidsen van Amigo waren absoluut geweldig. De bezienswaardigheden waren interessant en leuk. Het enige punt van kritiek is dat het een beetje verwarrend was om het ontmoetingspunt te vinden.

Onze gids was grappig en deskundig. De tour was efficiënt en erg leuk met onze activiteiten. Ik wou dat het Xochimilco gedeelte wat langer was, maar dat zou moeilijk zijn. Ik wou alleen dat de instructies op de lijst gedetailleerder waren, omdat het een beetje vaag was en niet vertelde in welke volgorde we naar de plaatsen gingen. Ook de instructies voor het afspreken zijn een beetje onduidelijk.

Ticketing met Headout was een probleemloze ervaring. Het was ook goed gepresenteerd in die zin dat het een zeer duidelijke beschrijving gaf van de tour, en de ontmoetingsplaatsen, enz. Het beste deel van de tours waren de gidsen, de chauffeurs en het vervoer. We hebben ook de Teotihuacan tour gedaan en die heeft ook dezelfde waardering en ervaring.

Your Experience

Begin your tour with Coyoacán, aptly named after the wily coyote, and bask in the neighborhood where Frida Kahlo spent the majority of her life. Enjoy free time to explore the sights and sounds of exotic squares and cobblestoned alleyways lined with cafés, antique shops, and craft stalls. Next, you will visit the museum-house of Frida Kahlo, also called the ‘Blue House.’ Preserving an intimate atmosphere, this was where Frida came into the world, lived, and died; the interiors of which remains virtually intact. Full of color, folk art, and pre-Hispanic pieces, this house reflects Frida’s love for her Mexican heritage and roots.

Your trip will continue to the watery oasis of Xochimilco. This gritty neighborhood constitutes the last surviving example of the Aztec’s intricate canal and farming system called chinampas. Go punting along the ancient waterways on a colorful trajinera (flat-bottomed boat), and surround yourself with a roving world of mariachi and marimba music. Enjoy spare time to wander around and explore for yourself before heading toward the final leg of the journey - Ciudad Universitaria. Spend time admiring the works of famous artists like Diego Rivera, Juan O’ Gorman, and José Clemente Orozo, who were involved in the Mexican Muralist Movement, and whose murals adorn the walls of this majestic compound.
