Whether it’s to see a giant oceanic manta ray casually gliding by in the massive Kuroshio Sea Tank, or to get a close-up look at whale sharks, yellowfin tuna, and yellow and blueback fusilier, Churaumi Aquarium is going to delight you like nothing else. The aquarium is also home to the world’s first large-scale exhibit of coral reproduction, made up of more than 800 different coral colonies.
Walk around and explore the other areas, and you’ll come across some rare exhibits including blacksail snake mackerels and sea spiders. There’s even a shallow Touch Pool, where you can see and hold starfish, cushion stars and sea cucumbers!

You will need to exchange your mobile voucher for a physical ticket at Umakiji market, to enter the Churaumi Aquarium.

The voucher can be used before the selected date and time but no later than the selected dates

Once the ticket is picked up at Umakiji market, the physical ticket is valid for 7 days from the pickup.

In cases of extreme weather, the aquarium might be closed. To stay prepared, visit the website of the Churaumi Aquarium the day before your visit so you can request a full refund if they’re closed.

Food, drinks, and selfie sticks are not permitted inside the aquarium.

Please note selfie sticks are not allowed inside the venue.
